Tuesday, November 29, 2005 || HAROOO... from the Land of Smiles
Hi everyone... I am now in Thailand... sadly on my second last day... seriously, it is quite difficult coming to a place without internet assess, coz day in day out, i m so used to internet at home... like these few days, i got to go to internet cafes to go my daily earnings online... luckily i got two friends to help me, (Thanks mellow and choon seng) just in case i m stuck in some pasa malam-like place without any i-cafes. anyway, the hotel i stayed in DO hv internet assess, but at 4 SGD per 15 min... seriously, even SG also not so expensive, least to say in Bangkok.... KNS right?
anyway, it has been fun so far... though i would say it could be better, with the help of a map, as well as more info from friends... but 5 days in BKK is seriously, too much for shopping alone... my god... though i bought quite a lot of stuff... things here are really cheap... for example, a adidas top cost like 8 SGD... original one... from dept stores or adidas shop... jerseys, only selected teams, are going at abt 20 SGD... ridiculous... main reason: they are all made in thailand... my dear dear got a hell of a time shopping... esp now since she is spending her own money, she got really NO restrictions... becos it is not my money, like in phuket...
strangely, the only tourist place we went was the grand palace.... other than that, it is shopping shopping and more shopping... quite cool if u ask me, coz unlike the expensive things in HK, lots of stuff here are so cheap, u dun usually think when u buy... there isnt much place to go here though... temples, grand palace... that's abt it... if u wan to go to other places like zoo or tiger temple, crocod farm, u got to go to the outskirts of bangkok... but my DD and i have decided that we should come here n buy some home decor stuff next time when we are renovating our hse... of coz, then we will be able to make more planning then... anyway, my DD actually commented that thai pple are beautiful pple... the guys are handsome, and the girls are pretty... that i hv to admit... coz even the bell boys from our hotel looks pretty good, so good that they will put those so-called models in SG to shame...
well, it is back to singapore tmr... and i will post some pics on... cheers...
and for some of my dear friends, esp those who help me, u will get ur presents soon....

Wednesday, November 23, 2005 || ToDaY's SoNg : Come What May by Ewan Mcgregor and Nicole Kidman
first of all, I must say, "I love love love this song"... when i watched the movie, MR, i was pretty shocked... becos the two singers are actually actors, pretty good ones too... but their voice in this song is really good... and i really got mesmerised by the song everytime i hear it.... at one point of time, i was so crazy abt the song, i actually sang it out loud outside my hostel room... haha... i must be mad!!! sometimes i will sing it when i bathing... and sometimes i will sing it to someone who is falling asleep... hehe... u noe who u r... (123MNC)
This song came to my mind when i was driving home from work once of these days... well, it was one of the more productive days ever, where i sat in front of the bloody computer and completed alot of work that i nvr really got down to... but anyway, after finishing my stuff, me n some colleagues were sitting ard after lunch, TCSS... and some of us were chatting abt Uni-life, sch work, exams, hostel life etc etc.... some guys actually hv a lot of regrets becos they din really took part in hostel activities...
anyway, personally, i hv a long and enriching life in uni... one of my best 4 years... though i do hv some regrets here n there...of coz the biggest one is that why i nvr concentrate on my studies as much... but i learned alot from other things... ECA esp... like i was actually sports sec for my facilty during my second yr, lots of work, but i m glad i pulled thru, not exactly with flying colours... but i explore my own abilities to the limit, from organising of events, down to inter-personal relationship... and i believe these are experiences which i cant get in studies... and i enjoy myself big time during my final year FOC... it was really fun... esp with a big cool batch of freshies from my blk... though i think i was overworked, coz i had to go play the games more than once coz my blk only have TWO guys... and of coz, having been thru and designed some of them myself... i know where are the loopholes... HEHE... anyway, to all my buddies, friends, blk mates, and the bunch of monkey freshies that i "GL-ed" during my final year... u guys are the BEST !!!

Thursday, November 17, 2005 || Running nose and a ridiculous finding
Since young, I have had the problem of hving running nose once in a while... until i get this nose spray from doc regularly to curb it... after so long, the running nose finally came bac to haunt me... reason : my spray finish liao... so i took the opportunity to see the doc n get another spray... and of coz a break from work... YES!!! i had wanted the break to be the BKK trip...but wth, when it (running nose) comes, it comes...
anyway, since i have the luxury of staying at home... of coz, my usual reading of NEW PAPER will take place... World cup 2006 candidates are finally out... n an article abt this other blogger who got recruit by talent scouts to be an artiste, Dawn Yeo. Anyway, the article suggested that she underwent plastic surgery to become her pretty self... the question pops up in my head, "What's wrong with that?" it is in Singapore that plastic surgery will cause such a stir.... in other countries like US n europe, or even in closer ones like Korea, plastic surgery is quite a norm. I think there is nothing wrong with wanting to look prettier... even a ugly-looking guy like me ever thought abt it... but then, money is an issue for me... seriously, if my family is rich enuff, i wont hesitate to spend the money... and i think if it builds up ur confidence, makes u prettier, and more attractive, why not? And seriously, it is her own private and personal decision... she dun hv to report to anyone... mayb her future half... but not to strangers... so to those who spent money on plastic surgery, dun not be ashame!!

Tuesday, November 15, 2005 || A boring Week again, but BKK is nearing
I must admit... working life is boring... YES, it is!!! after a week of work, u seriously wonder how much u accomplished in life, besides the miserable green (ok, i noe ours comes in diff colour) thing that ends up in ur bank account every mth... In work, usually u hv these 3, wonderful colleagues who in turn becomes friends, not-so-wonderful colleagues whom u take a caution when u speak, and of coz the awful colleagues whom u hv to watch ur back for him whenever u r doing something if not, u may end up having blood all over ur back.... one of my bro happened to be a victim of such stabbing once... n personally, if it happens to me, i will take a knife, go right up to the person n hold it against his throat!!! u see, i m a person who believes an eye for an eye... if someone helps u, u shld help him back, mayb twice, or more... same goes with the reverse, u shld kill him @work or confront him to let him noe that he is known as a capital "S", with a hole in the middle.... hahaha
of coz work also comprises of wonderful superiors... i had the luxury of working for 4 diff pple in my entire work life so far, 2 of which is fantastic... one of whom i m working under now... (now u noe i work so hard sometimes dear)...
anyway, it has been a boring week or so... become a trainer to teach (though i m not looking forward to it)... n ehrm... nothing else... two things i m looking forward to... ONE is the Harry Potter movie... TWO is the trip to BKK with my DD... it's been a while since we went abroad together... last yr this time, we were @ phuket... enjoying the sun, the fishes... n i found out my DD likes the same thing the fishes there ear... pineapple biscuits... haha... I miss the time we spent together all the time @ my hse, @ hall... hopefully, everything goes well... we can enjoy the flat we bought in a yr or so...
Anyway, anyone wanting anything from BKK?

today, i wan to talk abt chatting online... since god knows when, icq was really hot... the famous tone can be heard anywhr where internet is available... now, looks like msn messenger is the hottest thingy... this internet chatting tool become an effective for men to woo women, n becoming the number tool to gossip in a mass group without meeting up, etc etc....
So when is "away" means "away" for msn messenger or "not available" means "not available" in icq? sometimes i realise that some pple come online, they will look for pple to chat IMMEDIATELY... even when they r away or not available... i mean seriously... dun anyone know english... some time ago, i had a female colleague logged on from my office to find a friend.... however, she put her status as "away" so that others wont chat up with her... then her other friend msg her, n she ignored him, since she specifically wan to find a friend to ask abt something else rather than chat, then this OTHER friend actually pass the comment that she is "DAO" or rather "not friendly"... i mean, wth... u got time n desire to chat doesnt mean others hv... grow up... i mean, this person could be at work, or do something important... if u have something important, for goodness sake, call the person... if nothing impt, n jus wan to chat, PLS, get the hint when this person ignores u... becos there is probably something else more impt out there...

Friday, November 11, 2005 || Harry Potter on the 16th.....
I love harry potter... ever since the first one.... for those who dunno... i dun even read the story books... but i love the movies... they are really very nice... lucky enuff, i found that that the advanced booking started on the 3rd... so i managed to book the "special" preview at GV tampines to watch with my DD...
Talking abt harry potter... one of my friends told me something, the last time harry potter movie was out, he went to watch it. There was a scene when harry was hiding behind a tree from a werewolf... then suddenly, there is this sec sch girl who shouted, "harry, be careful".... i was so duh-ed by the incident... can someone tell this bugger that Mr Potter cant hear her... esp when she is aldy sec sch girl... omg...
anyway, hope this potter movie is better than the previous one... CHEERS

Thursday, November 10, 2005 || my Bangkok TRIP quick quick come!!!
It has been ages since I blog... wow... had a hell of a week... really busy, running here n there... trying to get the final numbers to my project... and in the midst of all these, I am really looking forward to the Bangkok with my DD and her family... ithas been almost 10 years since I been to BKK... though me n DD did go to phuket last yr... anyway, this is one of those times when we did everything ourselves, from air tix to hotel booking... though we did hv some heart attack coz the 1st few choices of hotel we wanted is fully booked... so we ended up booking twin towers (in the pic above)... hopefully, it is not bad...

Saturday, November 05, 2005 || My Sec Sch n FrenZ, Part 3
Today I have the chance to catch up with some of my sec sch for dinner, and some TCSS session.... it was fun, trying to recall some of the events which took place... esp some of our MIA frenz now... and it really helps that one of us is now a teacher back at Hai Sing... we are able to recall some of the weird and irritating teachers we had.... and of coz the nice ones.... there is this Physics teacher who will shout at us for no reason and when he caught some buggers talking during his class, he will ask them to stand on the chair.... there was this once, he punished two guys... but coz my friend is so tall, his head will actually hit the ceiling/fan if he stands on his chair, he was made to stand next to the teacher for the rest of the class... that was hilarious... and during his classes, me n my gd fren will always sit at the back, and eat tibits.... esp this APOLLO choco sticks... we loved it !!!
Sometimes it feels good to catch up with ur past... not tat all of it are gd... but in my opinion, the past is usually what makes u who u r now....
But we came across a topic abt this classmate who "got married" (actually ROM-ed only) with very few of us knowing. Anyway, jus one fine day, I received a pic in an envelope and it "announced" my classmate's marriage with this guy. I was absolutely shocked!! esp when i noe the guy whom she got together with, is absolutely not worthy of her love. Have u ever bring your other half to see your friends? for those of u who do, i guess u would like to know the opinions of ur friends too, some of u would even be excited.... imagine all your friends having negative impressions.... like almost 10 of them at least.... i mean, pple JUDGE pple, that is what this world is, but pple can be WRONG in their judgement... however, when ALL your friends have negative impression, then something must be wrong to cause ur friends have this kind of reaction... and taking into acct these are friends whom known you for more than 10 years, I guess it is really valid to trust their judgement to a certain extent. Anyway, she got together with this guy nonetheless... just some time ago, i managed to see this friend online and talked to her for the first time since the shocking envelope... n i sensed this friend is not really happy... this friend is actually quite a good friend of mine... i mean, we even kept in contact after graduation from sec sch, all the way to jc and uni... so i m really sad to see her get together with a man whom is not worth her love... it is a dilemma, i can be a sensitive friend n support her decisions, or i can be a direct and frank friend and tells her she made a wrong move.... what shld I do really?? LOVE IS BLIND... but throwing your life away.... is BLINDLY accepting is STUPIDITY. 
Here are my wonderful sec sch friends during one of the weddings.... pity a lot of guys cannot make it due to work....

There isnt much movies to watch recently... really looking forward to harry potter n the globlet of fire... One of my fav chinese movies is Initial D... i tink i like watching such car racing shows... i love 2 fast 2 furious too.... 
I tink i had my fair of luck with girls... from puppy-love, to actual relationships, to friends... i had known many whom i can say worthy of anyone's friendship and love... but of coz, girls being girls always hv some characters... here are some...
1) most of them hv PMS, n mostly experienced the negative side
2) most of them cant park parallel
3) most of them are emotional creatures, dropping a tear over movies or tv
4) some of them made great friends, always listening
5) beautiful creatures
6) great smiles
7) great makeup artist
etc etc
these are just some opinions I have...
to all the great friends i have made over the years... thanks... to those whom i lost contact with... msg me on my msn!!
