Sunday, June 17, 2007 || A slow down in pace and congrats to Mr JTLK
I, myself, have been busy with some preparations with my bonding with Gracie... Goodness, there is more things to do than I thought... and also, more money to spend... *Stressed*... finally hitting a little short break in between...
Over the past few weeks, I realised it is really important to keep friends close to ur heart... or sometimes, misunderstanding can occur... And also, the difficulty in communication, even for simple things and between family... The other day, my parents were just quarreling abt some idiotic insurance thingy which the govt imposes when one reaches 40, and I hv to step in to shout the two of them up and calm things down... And I realised that even verbal communications can be divided into a few types... ONE, manner or tone, in my parents' quarrel, both of them were using wrong tone... TWO, wording of facts.... More often than not, a wrong choice of words could end up making the meaning offensive or even hostile... THREE, I tink this is the worst of the three, the non-spoken portion... It is important to let others noe what u mean... sometimes, assuming that they knew what u mean coz they are close to u would lead to disaster... assumption is often the mother of all fcuk-up... Some old people will say that they hv learn enuff to live their lives... but the matter of the fact is, we are learning the art of communication every other day... and even minute... So speak up, speak the right words, in the right tone...
And Congrats to Mr Jeremy Tan, for being a father to a new-born, Ashton Tan... weighing 3010grams, borned at 0159H on the 16th June 2007. Welcome to this world Ashton !!!! CHEERZ

With this sort of lousy and insincere service, no wonder the govt is trying to give "excellent service award" to encourage good service. If this comes from a waiter or waitress who is on vacation job, I can understand. But this comes fr a bloody manager, so much for good service.... pwee!!!

So how to you "identify" a good husband/wife? We guys always like to classify girls into two category, the wife material and the gf material... Somehow, I wonder how I classify them... I tink guys usually do it by feeling... girls do it by that too, by they termed it as chemistry... haha... some pple in the forum classify good material as less tendency to stray as good material... once upon the time, things are not like tat... then, it was more of able to cook, dun go cheong, stay at home etc... it really shows times has changed... the values of life have changed... straying becomes something of a minimum criteria whereas last time, straying is a norm...
My version of wife material : Share the same values as me, allow me to do what I decide with my career, support me in whatever I do... tink tat is abt it... what abt u?
