:come into Dr Love's little world:
I almost never thought this sort of thing to happen so close... The events in Mumbai have brought Singapore closer to India, emotional that is... But the truth, Singapore has our first terror victim... Ms Lo Hwei Yen, 28, has been killed by terrorist attack...
Murders, at least, holds a motive towards the victim... But in this case, the victim has done nothing wrong, nothing against the terrorist or his people... In that way, the killing is motiveless... The New Paper termed them as cowards, but even such a way this description is too kind for them... Taking their anger and rage on innocent civilians is just ridiculous to say the least... These civilians have no connection whatsoever to the terror war going on... It suddenly becomes clear that all the fighting after 911 is necessary.... and perhaps more countries should contribute to this fight...
Right now, the only thing SG can do, is to say prayers for our first terror victim, and pray that she is hopefully the last one to this atrocity. My heartfelt condolence to the victim's family....
The New Paper Question : How would you fit Keane into Liverpool now that Keane is fit?
Indeed, Rafa is having a 'happy' problem now that Torres is fit. Last season's Gerrard-Torres combination has reaped its dividends, and teams in the EPL can probably better prepare themselves to cover both players. So, Keane adds a dfferent dimension to Liverpool's attack. For me, I would fit Keane into 2 formations. Against lesser teams who like to defend deep, I would play a 4-2-3-1 formation similar to the start of the season, with Gerrard/Alonso in midfield, and Keane playing behind the striker. Keane's intelligence and link-up ability makes him a passer/finisher in this formation. With Kuyt's instinct to drift into goal scoring position, Keane can act as a alternative to swap positions and confuse the defenders. Against stronger and well-organised teams like Chelsea, Keane can remain on the bench as a catalyst, with Gerrard playing behind the striker, Alonso/Mascherano covering the back 4. This formation brings stability in the midfield, cramping the opposition midfield into committing mistakes and restricting play-makers. Keane can come off the bench if the team is behind, or towards to last 20 min, adding another dimension to the attack, to either pin teams back when leading, or to score when trailing.
Yst's match is against the msia 'all-stars'. According to Kris, 3 of the main players are out. However, they are still better than the opponents. Especially number 12, chris daniels. He is an extremely intelligent player. He doesn't force himself too much, and he usually can pick the correct thing to do, at the correct time. Like when the opponent is over the foul limit, he elected to make moves going to the basket to draw fouls and free throws... during a fast break, he anticipated that the opposing player will attempt to block his ball, he paused at the end of the area, waited for the on-rushing player to bump him, before releasing the shot in. It takes a cool headed and more importantly, confident player to execute this move. Though the team has less than 5 Singaporean players, I was delighted with the basketball action last night.
Recently, my fren got engaged in something which I believed is a rebound... anyway, my advice to her and all the others who are in one is, be realistic and evaluate your life before jumping into the next relationship... rebound relationships more often than not, do not last, as the truth usually comes ard sooner or later...
